How to satisfy a cat's need to climb, hide and scratchCats love to climb. They love to hide. And they can't resist scratching! Now that is a formula for fun, and an opportunity for you to find just the right pieces to keep them happy, occupied, and off YOUR furniture! Well, we can hope for that.Providing cats with their own special "furniture" can help channel their unique needs. It's fruitless to try to train a cat not to scratch. And while you may achieve some success in preventing Kitty from climbing or jumping onto things, you may never stop her from doing so when you aren't looking! Clearly, it's better to give them what they need. This will keep them happy and well-adjusted. And a happy, well-adjusted cat is MUCH less likely to exhibit undesirable behaviors, such as missing the litter box on purpose.
